Y Pen Normanaidd – The Norman Head
It’s not every day that a 900 year old piece of carved stone work arrives in the post but that’s exactly what happened earlier this week. This carved head was found by archaeologists near the ancient gate at Hay Castle and is believed to be a decorative feature from the Norman tower. It will be displayed as part of the interpretation scheme we are creating for Hay Castle Trust. Lots of other exciting things being designed for this project so watch this space for updates.
