Founded in 1992 the Yellow River Wetland Reserve provides a welcome stop-over for migratory birds on the East Asian-Australasian Flyway as they travel down from Alaska to the warmer climes of Australia and New Zealand.
IM were commissioned to create a content outline and concept designs for a new visitor centre at the gateway to the reserve.
The centre tells the story of the Yellow River, presenting its rich biodiversity and illustrating the intimate links with a cultural and social history that reaches back to the very dawn of Chinese civilisation.
