Over a 4-year period, Imagemakers designed and installed new signage and interpretation across several sites in the beautiful walled city of Chester. Using high quality materials, a distinct and classy scheme has evolved that helps visitors navigate themselves around the city and learn about its Roman heritage.
Using a heads-up mapping system and a graphic style guide, the wayfinding signs boast stainless steel frames, stove-enamelled panels and etched sandstone bases. The interpretation panels around the walls use printed lava stone, providing a distinct textured finish.
Sculptural works, architectural models, rubbing plaques and smartphone apps complete a package of works which have enhanced the visitor experience around this iconic city.
