One Garden, two Ministers and an Oscar nominee…

Charlie and David have just returned from Waterford, Ireland, where they joined the opening of the Mount Congreve Gardens project. Dutifully assisting the celebrations, they witnessed Irish Government Ministers Heather Humphries and Catherine Martin formally launch the project alongside Failte Ireland chief executive Paul Kelly.

Irish Oscar nominee Carrie Crowley was also in attendance, adding a sprinkle of stardust to a great occasion.

Before ribbon-cutting, both Ministers applauded the ‘world class’ restoration and visitor experience, for which we were interpretation, signage and orientation designers in collaboration with landscape architect Anthony McGuigan of The Paul Hogarth Company.

Our interpretive approach was to blend the debonair story of the Garden’s creator Ambrose Congreve with the site’s superb plant collection, befitting its status as one of the ‘great gardens of the world’.

Slainte!
